It is interesting though that the world looks up to America as the bastion of openness, freedom of all kinds of pleasures, friendly and frank people who are more emotional than even Italians and life which is an endless sex party.

People in other countries see a filtered version of America on TV. If we actually exported our trash TV to them, imagine what they'd think of us after 3,500+ episodes of Jerry Springer.

In return, we could import Jeremy Kyle and see how it'd affect our opinion of Brits. LoL.

What it boils down to is that America is good at selling dreams through disseminating this false cultural reality. It'd be funny to contrast the wacky manufactured reality and what is real side by side on film. In a movie the gorgeous Sandra Bullock style redhead would be smiling, laughing, and chatting away with everyone on the way to work. In reality: Her nose would be high up in the air ignoring everyone and she would be walking quickly to her car for another day at the 9 to 5. In a movie she would be romantically chasing some guy and they would be involved in some long courtship In reality: she'd meet this guy through some friends have several dinner dates with abstinence and lots of material woo'ing before the guy ever gets even a kiss on the cheek.

If I wanted to submit a version of the "real" America to the world i'd make tv series like The Wire mandatory viewing, COPS, as well as Jerry Spring. That about covers a good portion of the U.S. population.

It's funny, I was watching a movie last year that took place in New York city. A man just moved there from out of town, did not know anybody and LOW AND BEHOLD his next door neighbor (who happens to be a hot blond) actually knocked on his door and introduced herself to him! Then get this, SHE asks him if he would like to go to dinner sometime! WTF? That NEVER happens in real life as we all know! Later on in the movie, he has sex with her after their FIRST date and SHE pursues him throughout the movie!

On top of all of this, the guy is just average looking and does not make a lot of money. Now we all know hot looking women in America DO NOT PURSUE MEN especially if the guy is just average looking and not rich! I must add, throughout the movie, women in New York are seen as friendly and flirtacious. For example, this guy goes to the grocery store and women are flirting with him. Then he goes to the gym and women start conversations with him and drop hints that they are interested in him.

American made movies are truely not reflective on what life is REALLY like in the USA!

That doesn't happen often in real life, but if you have to meet the hot blonde next door when you move in, hold a house warming party and invite her to the party (tell her to bring friends too). Since she is your neighbor, you can exchange phone #'s for "emergency contact" (toilet overflow?).

"Why the HUGE difference: Americans in movies vs. real life?" As Jack Nicholson said in A Few Good Men, "You Can't Handle the Truth." Nobody wants to see a movie about a country where most men are sexless and the average age of losing their virginity is 27. Most young men will not find a wife and will probably spend their time on the Metaverse. Nobody wants to see movies about that.

Studies show that more and more men in America are losing their virginity later in life. Also, most men go years in between sex or in between having a girlfriend. Even getting a date for most men in the US is a difficult thing to do.

Most men in America will go at least several years in between girlfriends. The only access men in the US have to sex is to have a girlfriend. So, no girlfriend, no sex.

America is like a sex prison for men and a dating prison as well.
"When I think about the idea of getting involved with an American woman, I don't know if I should laugh .............. or vomit!"

"Trying to meet women in America is like trying to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics."

    Very true. Unfortunately many people believe fiction, conspiracy theories, and movies are reality. Why is their so much interest in Super Hero movies?
